First day in the U.S

Now I got here... my host is very nice and she has nice family. This morning I got up very early, it was 4.30 - in Finland allready afternoon... couple cups of coffee with newspaper Karjalainen on internet and my first day here has began 😉

Milk bottles are huge, a gallon costs about one dollar - how are farmers getting along??? Same problems here than in back home.

Today we are going to a sheep farm, that would be very interesting. My scedule here sounds good: couple of farms, agricultural teaching farm, tour in my host's college, day in Chicago and so on.

We discussed of students in our countries, problems are similar with young students; they want to get education as easy as possible 🤔 - minimum work for results... if you ask them why they answer because.

I live in Batavia, near Chicago. There are about 20 000 people living in Batavia. My host works in  Waubonsee community college

Sheep farm was called Nippersink Hall farm. There were  about 230 sheep, races scottish blackface and chevion. The farmer had also dogs for the sheepwork. Then she organisizes sometimes trials for the dogs. Trial is a competition for shepherd dogs.
